I've been asked to verify an artifact, what do I do?

A verification request is sent from a VUMI member to an individual (verifier) whom the member considers to have appropriate authority for verification.

Verification requests are delivered to a verifier via email. The email contains a link to the VUMI verification application which provides the verifier with the tools to review the artifact and either approve or decline the verification.

When choosing whether to approve a verification a verifier should consider the following:

  • Does the artifact belong to the member?
  • Does the artifacts title and description accurately describe the artifact?
  • Is the stated relationship between the verifier and the member correct?

Once the verifier has reviewed the artifact then they simply complete the Your response form indicating whether they approve or decline the verification:
