How do I put video in my ePortfolio?
At the moment vumi uses YouTube to display your videos.
You will need to upload your videos to YouTube first and then copy a link to the video into the My Repository section. It's really simple. Here is the process:
On the YouTube page of your video, click the share button as shown here:

A YouTube url will be visible in the centre of the expanded share panel. This is a Short Link and will not work in your VUMI ePortfolio. Click the Show options link to the right of the url displayed:
Choose the Long link tick box:

Copy this link to your computers clipboard:

Copy this link to your computer clipboard.

Click the Upload a new artifact button on the My Repository section.

The 'Upload an artifact' window will open'. Click the Artifact type menu and select Video.

Paste the url into the field provided. Give your artifact a name and description and click the Upload button.

The newly uploaded video will be displayed at the top of the My artifacts list.

Choose the page in the ePortfolio where you would like the video to be accessed. The screen below shows that I have chosen the Profile page.

Click the video tab.

And then the green add artifact icon
![]()

The repository browser will open where you will need to choose the artifact you wish to add to this page.

The video will now show in the Video tab panel at the bottom of the page where you want it accessed.

You have successfully added a video to a page in an ePortfolio.
Click the Preview button to check that the video works.
